REV. RONDAL KEITH “RONNIE” PARKS, 60 years of age of Vansant, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, VA following an extended illness. Born in Hancock County, TN he was the son of Thelma Saylor Parks of Tazewell, TN and the late Paul Parks. He held an Associate degree in Religion and was a member of the Buchanan County Ministerial Association, and was an Active Supporter of the International Fellowship of Christian Jews. He was currently serving as pastor of the Tookland Pentecostal Church, where he  also previously served as Associate Pastor, Member of the Deacon Board, and Sunday School Teacher.

Mr. Parks is survived by his wife Doris Ratliff Parks of Vansant, VA;  1-Daughter:  Amanda and husband Bobby Shaver, Newport, TN; 1-Son:  Adam Parks of Morristown, TN and his Fiance Megan Singleton of  Rogersville, TN; 1-Granddaughter: Ani Shaver, Newport, TN, 5-Sisters-in-Law: Marie and husband Basil Matney, Richlands, VA, Phyllis Matney, Oakwood, VA, Martha Lambert, Cedar Bluff, VA, Jan and husband Jerry White, Richlands, VA, Sue Howington, Pounding Mill, VA; and 1-Brother-in-Law: Arvil and wife Zella Ratliff, Oakwood, VA. 

Also survived by several Aunts, One-Uncle, and several Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by:  Father-in Law Carl Ratliff and Mother-in-Law Edgar Ratliff; 4-Brothers-in-law:  Bueford Ratliff, Arnold Ratliff, Rages Matney, and Scotty Lambert.

Funeral Services for REV. RONDAL KEITH “RONNIE” PARKS will be conducted Friday, July 10, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tookland Pentecostal Church with Revs. Glen Wilson, C.O. Sensabaugh, and Gordon Stacy officiating with burial to follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.

Friends may call at the Tookland Pentecostal Church on Wednesday and Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M.
