AGNES MARTIN, 88 years of age of Elkhorn City, KY and Grundy, VA, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky following an extended illness.  Born in Dunleary, KY, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Adeline Ramey Martin.  She was a member of the Grundy United Methodist Church, a Lab Technician and a loving mother,  grandmother and great grandmother and a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Martin is survived by two daughters –Sandra and her husband Benny Clevinger – Elkhorn City, KY, Tahella Gail Potter - Lynn Camp Road -Grundy, VA, One Sister -        Oma Belcher, Hazard, KY, One Brother -  Ray and his wife Joleen Martin, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Four grandchildren:          Lisha and her husband David Owens, Elkhorn City, KY, Deean and her husband David Skeens, Elkhorn City, KY, Koreen and her husband Gerald Newberry, Swords Creek, VA, Krae Potter and Fiancé Jason Christian, Castlewood, VA, One Great Grandchild – Benjamin Skeens, Elkhorn City, KY, One Step Grandchild – Tiara Newberry, Swords Creek, VA

Funeral services for AGNES MARTIN will be conducted Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Whitten officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, VA

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. Monday, September 5, 2011.
