
ALVERY WALLACE TILLER,
59 years of age
of Abingdon, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008
at his home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the
son of the late Muncie Rell and Carrie Wright Tiller. He was a resident of
Buchanan County most of his life and was a member of In the Beginning Fellowship
Chapel. He was a loving Father and Grandfather and was a disabled Coal Miner.
Mr. Tiller was a member of the American Legion, United Mine Workers of American
and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is survived by his former
wife: Mitzi Tiller, Bristol, VA, 1-Daughter: Caroline and husband Keith Tabor,
Bristol, VA, 1-Son: Travis Muncie Tiller, Abingdon, VA, 7-Sisters: Arlene
Howard, Culpepper, VA, Loraine Adkins, Dumfries, VA, Mavis Stacy, Vansant, VA,
Kay Brown, Bedford, VA, Anita Donahue, Moneta, VA, Audrey Boyd, Bishop, VA,
Donna Adkins, Vansant, VA, 2-Brothers: Gary Tiller, Lebanon, VA, Dean Tiller,
Vansant, VA
Also, survived by
2-Grandchildren: Alex Tabor and Nicholas Tabor and 1-Honorary Granddaughter:
Amanda O’Quinn.
Funeral Services for
ALVERY WALLACE TILLER will be conducted Monday, May 26, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at
the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: Frank Newsome, John Tiller and Larry
Tiller officiating with burial to follow in the Wright Cemetery, Grundy, VA.
Friends may call at the
Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Sunday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services at 7:00
P.M.
