AMY NICOLE ADKINS, 20 years of age of the Prater Section of Haysi, VA, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Tazewell County, VA, she was the daughter of Clinton and Diana Boyd Adkins, Haysi, VA. She attended Russell Prater Elementary, a 2008 Graduate of Grundy High School and a 2010 Graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College with an Applied Associates Degree in Respiratory Care. She was employed by Cumberland Mountain Community Services as a Resident Technician.

Amy is survived by her parents, Clinton and Diana Boyd Adkins, Haysi, VA, 1-Brother: Matthew Luke Adkins, Haysi, VA, Special Aunt: Sherry and husband Curtis Looney, Grundy, VA, Special Uncle: Carl Adkins, Richlands, VA, Maternal Grandfather: Curtis Boyd, Prater, VA, Paternal Grandmother: Lina Adkins, Prater, VA

She was preceded in death by Maternal Grandmother: Helen Boyd and Paternal Grandfather: Lilburn Adkins, Jr.

Funeral Services for AMY NICOLE ADKINS will be conducted Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Sliger and Rev. Josh Bowman officiating with burial to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Bradley Looney, Derek Stiltner, Jamie Lester, Brandon Tester, Michael McBride and Harold O’Quinn.

Special Pallbearer will be Tyler Stiltner.
