AUDREY EDNA STACY CHRISTIAN RIFE, 82 years of age of the Bend of Slate Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY, following an extended illness. Born in McDowell County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Blaine Buchanan and Virginia Rowe Stacy. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member at Crossview Church of Christ, Paynesville, WV. Mrs. Rife was a former employee of the Eastern Isles Clothing Factory and was a newspaper courier for the Bluefield Daily Telegraph and Bristol Herald Courier for over 28-years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a friend to many.

Mrs. Rife is survived by her husband, Ernest Richard Rife, Grundy, VA and preceded by her first husband, Henry Ellis Christian, November 5, 1977.

She is survived by 2-Daughters: Deborah Christian and husband Robert Martinez, St. George, UT, Delores Christian and husband Stanley Keene, Grundy, VA, 1-Step-Daughter: Tina Marie Rife Litzau, Bluewell, WV, 2-Sons: James Ellis and wife Mary Beth Christian, Grundy, VA, John R. Christian, Grundy, VA, 2-Sisters: Louisa and husband Gerald Stemm, Chesapeake, VA, Peggy and husband Burnis Lane, Grundy, VA, 1-Brother: Bobby Gene and wife Gertrude Stacy, Greenville, TN

Also, survived by 22-Grandchildren, 31-Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Donna Carol Christian Stacy; 1-Son-in-Law: Henry Eford Stacy; 1-Son: Henry Douglas Christian; 1-Grandson: Matthew Todd Keene; 2-Step-Children: Shelia Diane Rife Trott and George Eugene Rife; 3-Sisters: Myrtle Stacy, Gerleen Stacy Richardson and Patricia Stacy; 1-Half-Sister: Hazel Tennessee Stacy Horn; 4-Brothers: John Stacy, Keaster Stacy, Paul Clayton Stacy and Ronald Stacy; 3-Half-Brothers: Albert Marvin Stacy, Ernest Blaine (Jerry) Stacy and Ralph Stacy.

Funeral Services for AUDREY EDNA STACY CHRISTIAN RIFE will be conducted Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Hobert Kennedy and Evg. William L. Neeley officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
