AUTY BRANHAM, 95 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late James Harlis and Anna Stiltner Branham. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the New Hope Christian Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and worked for the Harman Mining Company for 21-years and was a Retired Mine Inspector with 22-years of service. He was member of Sandy Valley Lodge #17 AF&AM since 1945 and enjoyed to hunt.

Mr. Branham was preceded in death by his wife, Madelene Jean Mosrie Branham.

He is survived by 2-Daughters: Mabel Jean Akers, Williamsburg, VA, Barbara Ann Keen, Maxie, VA, 1-Son: Jerry D. Branham, Grundy, VA, 3-Sisters: Pauline Wallace, Georgia Fant, Rose Caine, 2-Brothers: Hassell Branham, Honaker, VA, Burton Branham, Grundy, VA

Also, survived by 6-Grandchildren: Leslie Horne, Jerry Branham Jr., Cynthia Talley, Jennifer Compton, Jon Compton and Jane Noel; 12-Great-Grandchildren and 7-Great-Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Edith Shields; and 2-Brothers: Claude and Wayne Branham.

Funeral Services for AUTY BRANHAM will be conducted Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. William L. Neeley officiating with entombment to follow in Mountain Rest Mausoleum, Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Monday evening at 7:00 P.M and Masonic Rites Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be David Talley, Rodney Horne, Ethan Noel, Jon Compton, Rick Noel, Danny Branham and Darrell Branham.

Honorary Pallbearers will be John Jones, Hearl Shortridge, Bobby Reece, Roger Childress and the Staff of Heritage Hall Nursing Home B-Wing.
