BELVA JEAN SPARKS VANOVER, 77 years of age of the Little Prater Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the Buchanan General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ida Blankenship Sparks. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County, a former Employee of Grundy Hospital and was a member of the Little Prater Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Vanover is survived by 4-Daughters: Gina and husband Kevin Newman, Bristol, TN, Jill and husband Dwayne Ramey, Grundy, VA, Leigh and husband Kenny Ratliff, Vansant, VA, Heather Vanover, Grundy, VA, 2-Sons: Frank Vanover and Special Friend Shawna Church, Grundy, VA, Jeff Lester, Hurley, VA, 3-Sisters: Vagel and husband Verner Lester, Hurley, VA, Gay Mays, Green Cove Springs, FL, Belle Reynolds, Vansant, VA, 1-Brother: Hershel and wife Hannah Sparks, Shelbiana, KY

Also, survived by 8-Grandchidlren: Mike Deel, Gary Deel II, Brett Ramey, Cody Ramey, Chase Ramey, Dakota McCauley, Montana Payne and Amber Ellsworth; 7-Great-Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Rita Gail Vanover; 3-Sisters: Faye Sargent, Anne Tatum and Ruth Ratliff; and 1-Brother: Estil Sparks.

Funeral Services for BELVA JEAN SPARKS VANOVER will be conducted Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Mike Rife and Jack Wright officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday afternoon at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Roger Lester, Randal Lester, Gary Deel II, Terry Mays, Brett Ramey, Brandon Ramey, James Ratliff and Lee Reynolds.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Clint Sutherland and Grandchildren.
