BENNY D. SCARBERRY, 54 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Phillip and Ellen Opal Lester Scarberry. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Bethany Bible Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and was a Disabled Coal Miner.

Mr. Scarberry is survived by his wife: Nancy Spencer Scarberry, Hurley, VA, 2-Daughters: Shelia and husband Ronnie Blankenship, Grundy, VA, Samantha and husband Bobby Davis, Lexington, NC, 1-Son: Christopher Benny Darrell and wife Shannon Scarberry, Rowe, VA, 5-Sisters: Debra and husband Truitt Blankenship, Grundy, VA, Darlene and husband Ruey Childress, Grundy, VA, Kimberly Lynn Scarberry, Grundy, VA, Marlene and husband Eddie Little, Mohawk, WV, Janet and husband Joey Stevens, Claypool Hill, VA, 1-Brother: Dennis and wife Brenda Scarberry, Big Rock, VA

Also, survived by 5-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 1-Son: Phillip Dewayne Scarberry and 1-Brother: David Scarberry.

Funeral Services for BENNY D. SCARBERRY will be conducted Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Bethany Bible Church, near Kelsa, VA, with Rev. Paul Rife, Rev. Thurman Spencer and Rev. Dewey Spencer officiating with burial to follow in the Scarberry Family Cemetery on Puncheon Camp near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Bethany Bible Church, near Kelsa, VA, Monday afternoon at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
