BETTY LOU DOTSON BLANKENSHIP, 61 years of age of the Rock House Section of Paw Paw, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at her home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the  late Joe and Minnie Slone Dotson. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of Kelsa Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and was a Postal Carrier for 13-years.

Mrs. Blankenship is survived by her husband, Richard Floyd Blankenship, Jr., Paw Paw, KY, 2-Daughters: Terri and husband Eddie Hurley, Hurley, VA, Cathy and husband Chris Dotson, Hurley, VA, 1-Son: Richard Floyd III and wife Jerica Blankenship, Wellington, KY, 3-Sisters: Mary Lou and husband Willie Sprouse, Lynchburg, VA, Erma Dotson, Hurley, VA, Dorothy and husband Dallas Hale, Baptist Valley, VA, 2-Brothers: Earl and wife Glenda Dotson, Whitewood, VA, Lester Dotson, Hurley, VA

Also, survived by 7-Grandchildren: Cameran Lester, Emma Grace Hurley, Edwin Hurley Jr., Zachary Blankenship, Dakoda Blankenship, Sarah Blankenship, Ryan Dotson, and several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by Brothers-in-Law: Wiley Blankenship, Russell Dotson and Lloyd Blankenship.

Funeral Services for BETTY LOU DOTSON BLANKENSHIP will be conducted Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kelsa Church of Christ, Kelsa, VA, with Evg. Vernor Blankenship officiating with burial to follow in the Dotson Cemetery on the Right Fork of Paw Paw, KY.

Friends may call at the Kelsa Church of Christ, Kelsa, VA, Thursday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Thursday and Friday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Chris Dotson, Eddie Hurley, Jamie Lester, J.R. Lester, Russell Dotson Jr., Andy Blankenship and Family and Friends.
