BUFFORD DOTSON, 67 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Boone and Mossie Hurley Dotson. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a Disabled Coal Miner. Mr. Dotson was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Mr. Dotson is survived by his former wife, Sue Estep Dotson, Hurley, VA, 2-Daughters: Elizabeth “Betsy” and husband Eddie Dotson, Hurley, VA, Tammy Dotson, Vansant, VA, 2-Sons: Bufford Christopher Jr. and wife Angie Dotson, Middleburg, FL, Michael Clay and wife Trista Dotson, Big Stone Gap, VA

Also, survived by 11-Grandchildren: Amanda and husband Steven Lockhart, Timothy and wife Alesha Dotson, Nathan Dotson, Chelsea Dotson, Kyle Dotson, Hailee Dotson, Ashley Dotson, Sheena Gibson, Tamara Gibson, Alyssa Dotson and Dalton Dotson; and 3-Great-Grandchildren: Emily Lockhart, Hannah Dotson and Blake Dotson.

He was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Ella Mae Dotson and 1-Brother: Clay Dotson.

Funeral Services for BUFFORD DOTSON will be conducted Monday, October 18, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kelsa Chapel Church with Ministers: Ervin Hurley, Ronnie Hurley, Britt Jackson and Michael Casey officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Kelsa Chapel Church, Kelsa, VA, Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
