CALLIE CHRISTINE YATES WHITE, 67 years of age, of Oakwood, VA passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010, in the Mountain View Health Care Center, Elkhorn City, KY following an extended illness.  Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Frenchman M. and Myrtle Faye Boyd Yates.  She was a life-long resident of Buchanan County, and was of the Holiness Faith.  She was a former employee of the Richlands Free Press, Family Dollar, Roses, Hecks, Western Sizzler, and Singletons.  She was a devoted wife, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Mrs. White is survived by her husband: James (Ernie) White, Oakwood, VA, 2-Daughters: Lisa and Husband: Bruce Davis, Oakwood, VA, Sarah Ellen and Husband Charlie Cordill, Pounding Mill, VA, 1-Son: Robert White, Raysal, WV, 2-Sisters: Hattie Prater, Rt. #1, Vansant, VA, Rebal Keen, Rt. #1, Vansant, VA, 4-Grandchildren:  Keisha Davis, Heather White, Nicholas White and Cody Cordill, and 1-Great-Grandson: Jordan White.

She was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Charlene (Sain) Yates, 1-Brother: Jennings (Mule) Yates and Grandparents: Henry and Sarah Boyd

Funeral Services for CALLIE CHRISINE YATES WHITE will be conducted Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edger Mullins officiating with burial to follow in the Yates Cemetery on Sunset Hollow, Prater, VA

Friends may call at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
