CECIL GUY DILLOW, SR. 92 years of age of Hurley, VA. passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Bland County, VA. he was a son of the late Conley Trigg and Della Elizabeth Tickle Dillow. He was a long time resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Hurley Presbyterian Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather and was a Retired Coal Miner having worked for Knox Creek Coal Company.

He is survived by 2-Daughters: Carla and husband Charlie Spencer, Richton Park, IL, Vicki and husband David Potter, Hurley, VA, 3-Sons: Guy Dillow, Jr., Hurley, VA, Dennis and wife Vivian Dillow, Hurley, VA, Jerry and wife Carolyn Dillow, Grundy, VA, 1-Daughter-in-Law: Ruth Dillow, Hurley, VA, 1-Sister: Mary Ingram, Bland, VA, 2-Brothers: Roy Dillow, Wytheville, VA, Andrew and wife Margaret Dillow, Wytheville, VA

Mr. Dillow is survived by 14-grandchildren, 15-great grandchildren, and 3-great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2-sisters: Anna Wayne Wyatt and Virginia Myrtle Hounshell. 3-brothers: Conley Talbott Dillow, Gleaves Dillow, and Minnis Nye Dillow.

Funeral Services for CECIL GUY DILLOW, SR. will be conducted Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Stacy and Graveside services at the Bland Cemetery, Bland, VA with Rev. Henry Conley and Rev. Buddy Dillow.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. nightly.

Active Pallbearers will be the Grandsons.
