CHARLES EDWARD SULLIVAN, 77 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Monday, October 3, 2011 at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Paris and Cora Charles Sullivan. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a retired Coal Miner.

Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Cooper Sullivan, October 31, 1985.

He is survived by 6-Daughters: Sandra and husband Lee Davis, Wolford, VA, Sue and husband Steve McCauitt, Winder, GA, Diana and husband Mark Wencill, Hickory, NC, Jennifer Justice, Hurley, VA, Teresa and husband Destery Gibson, Lexington, NC, Pam and husband Ron Hall, Lexington, NC, 2-Sons: Billy Sullivan, Hurley, VA, Jeffery and wife Jessica Sullivan, Hurley, VA

Also, survived by 21-Grandchildren and 10-Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 4-Sons: Terry, Larry, Dusty and Tommy Sullivan; 2-Sisters and 3-Brothers.

Funeral Services for CHARLES EDWARD SULLIVAN will be conducted Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the North Springs Old Regular Baptist Church with Elders: Danny Cooper, Danny Hurley and Danny McCoy officiating with burial to follow in Race Fork Cemetery on Race Fork, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the North Springs Old Regular Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Sullivan, Shaun Justus,  Keith Sullivan, Tony Sullivan and Junior Lester.
