CHLOE WINIFRED HURLEY JUSTUS, 88 years of age of Cedar Bluff, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late James N. and Cora Mae Harr Hurley. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

“Behold thy mother” (John 19:27) Went to sleep in Jesus; with all of her children by her bedside. Mother shall wake-up at the sound of the trump of God, and rise in Christ.

Mrs. Justus was preceded in death by her husband: Junior C. Justus, March 8, 1998.

She is survived by 1-Daughter: Imadean and husband Wendell Childress, Richlands, VA, 5-Sons: Ronald and wife Dolly Justus, Cedar Bluff, VA, Glenn Justus, Cedar Bluff, VA, Irvin and wife Margaret Justus, Claypool Hill, VA, Bryan and wife Diane Justus, Richlands, VA, Ray and wife Janie Justus, Cedar Bluff, VA, 1-Brother: Joe Hurley, Stopover, KY

Also, survived by 16-Grandchildren and 15-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Geraldine Justus, 2-Sons: Imer and Michael Justus, 4-Sisters and 1-Brother.

Funeral Services for CHLOE WINIFRED HURLEY JUSTUS will be conducted Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lee Burke and Sister Elsie Burke officiating with burial to follow in the Hibbitts Cemetery, Grundy, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Friends.
