CLAYTON STILTNER, SR., 86 years of age of Maxie, VA, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Roland and Delphia Belcher Stiltner. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Harman Freewill Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a Retired Coal Miner having worked for Harman Mining Company. Mr. Stiltner was a member of the UMWA Local Union No. 7025 where he served as officer for over 20-years and was a member of the Grundy Lodge IOOF #17.

Mr. Stiltner is survived by his wife: Irene Cassell Stiltner, Maxie, VA, 2-Daughters: Frieda Ruble, Maxie, VA, Shelia (Shine) and husband Harry Blankenship, Pounding Mill, VA, 3-Sons: Clayton Jr. (C.J.) and wife Sandra Stiltner, Maxie, VA, Ronnie Lee and wife Stella Stiltner, Maxie, VA, Mickey Joe Stitlner and fiancé Rhonda Brady, Maxie, VA, 2-Sisters: Goldie Young, Omaha City, NE, Marie and husband Bill McBroom, Michigan, 1-Brother: Hassell Stiltner, Maxie, VA

Also, survived by 3-Special Friends: Tommy & Geraldine Mullins, and Pyllis Peck, 10-Grandchildren and 7-Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3-Sons: Scotty Cassell, Danny Ray Stiltner, Bobby Keith Stiltner; 3-Sisters: Zella French, Birchie Toler and Lucille Stiltner and 1-Brother: Beulah Hayes Stiltner.

Funeral Services for CLAYTON STILTNER, SR. will be conducted Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Harman Freewill Baptist Church, Harman, VA, with Ministers: Ronnie Sliger, Eddie Wilson and Josh Bowman officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Harman Freewill Baptist Church, Harman, VA, Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. with service Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of UMWA Local Union No. 7025.
