CLOYIE MAE WHITE MATNEY, 79 years of age of the Garden Creek section of Oakwood, VA, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN, following a brief illness. Born in McDowell County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lurrie Short White. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the House of Prayer. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a former employee of Grundy Hospital and was a Homemaker.

Mrs. Matney is survived by her husband of 55-years: Eugene Matney, Oakwood, VA, 1-Daughter: Sherry and husband Ronnie Osborne, Rowe, VA, 1-Son: David and wife Kathy Matney, Marion, VA, 2-Sisters: Juanita and husband Danny Osborne, Grundy, VA, Gay Bostic, Richlands, VA, 2-Brothers: Ferrell and wife Judy Street, Richlands, VA, Otis and wife Joyce Street, Oakwood, VA

Also, survived by 5-Grandchildren and 4-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Step-Father: Lee Street, 1-Son: Gary Matney, 1-Granddaughter: Jennifer Matney and 1-Sister: Snodie Clark.

Funeral Services for CLOYIE MAE WHITE MATNEY will be conducted Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Keen Mountain Pentecostal Holiness Church, Keen Mountain, VA, with Ministers John Justus and Aria Keen with burial to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.

Friends may call at the Keen Mountain Pentecostal Holiness Church, Keen Mountain, VA, Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Kenneth Anders, Rodney Matney, Kevin Matney, Craig Matney, Anthony Adams and Matthew Woods.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Vish & Staff and Members of the House of Prayer.
