COY ROGER VIERS, 63 years of age of the Dry Fork Section of Vansant, VA, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Wellmont-Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Earnest Coy and Draxie O’Quinn Viers. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of New Life Fellowship. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and was a Salesman for the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Norton, VA.

Mr. Viers is survived by his wife, Linda Davis Viers, Vansant, VA, 2-Daughters: Angela and husband Robert Vandyke, Monroe, NC, Kimberly and husband Donald Keen, Vansant, VA, 1-Sister: Edna and husband Jeffery Stiltner, Rosedale, VA, 4-Grandhildren: Courtney Vandyke, Monroe, NC, Emily Keen, Vansant, VA, Cody Keen, Vansant, VA, Riley Vandyke, Monroe, NC

Also, survived by 1-Niece: and Several Nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2-Sisters: Erma O’Quinn and Neva Jo Viers, and 1-Grandson: Brandon Vandyke.

Funeral Services for COY ROGER VIERS will be conducted Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Jerry Wilson and Jerry Duty officiating with burial to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be David Sheppard, Travis O’Quinn, Shannon O’Quinn, Kendall O’Quinn, Mark Skeens and Jeff Stiltner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Clint Sutherland, Rex Browning, Bill Browning, Tommy Boyd, Terry O’Quinn, Jerry Duty and Mark Sykes.
