DALLAS RICHARD STACY,
67 years of age of the Greenbrier section of Vansant, Virginia passed away
Thursday, July 17, 2008, at the Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA,
following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the
late William Harvey and Lena Hazel David Stacy. He was a life-long resident of
Buchanan County, a retired employee of Clinch Field Coal Corporation, a member
of Local Union 7170 and a member of the Bethlehem Old Regular Baptist Church
#2. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Compton is survived by
his wife Eveleane Adkins Stacy, 1-daughter: Angela and husband Tony Deel,
Greenbrier, VA, 2-Sons: Dexter Richard and wife Cassandra Stacy, Fort Bragg, NC,
Leonard Scotty Stacy of the Home, 8-Sisters: Alta Looney, Loudonville, OH, Helen
Hurley, Hurley, VA, Lorine Bartz, Danville, OH, Carmie Cowell, Perryville, OH,
Nell Davis, Hurley, VA, Grace Colgan, Mt. Vernon, OH, Betty Wojtseck, Mt.
Vernon, OH, Sherry Meyers, Mt. Gilead, OH, 2-Brothers: Fred Stacy, Big Rock, VA,
Kedford Stacy, Wolford, VA
Also survived by nine
grandchildren.
Funeral Services for
DALLAS RICHARD STACY will be conducted Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at
the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Roscoe Crouse and Ralph Mullins
officiating with burial to follow in the Smith Branch Cemetery located at the
mouth of Smith Branch, Slate Creek, VA.
Friends may call at the
Grundy Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services at
7:00 P.M.
