DANNY GLEN ADKINS, 52 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at his home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Thelma Prater Adkins, Hurley, VA, and the late Estil Adkins. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and attended the Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Adkins was a Disabled Coal Miner and worked as a Bolt Machine Operator.

Mr. Adkins is survived by his Mother: Thelma Prater Adkins, Hurley, VA, 1-Daughter: Megan Leigh Adkins, Warren County, VA, 1-Son: Robbie Glenn Adkins, Hurley, VA, 1-Sister: Dianne and husband Ronald Artrip, Cleveland, VA

He was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Linda Hager, May 2008, 1-Brother: Ralph Adkins, 1-Infant Brother, Maternal Grandparents: Godfrey and Eliza Prater and Paternal Grandparents: Mary and Charlie Adkins.

Funeral Services for DANNY GLEN ADKINS will be conducted Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kelsa Church of Christ, Kelsa, VA, with Ministers: Tommy Conn, Wilburn Dotson and Verner Blankenship officiating with burial to follow in the Adkins Cemetery on Puncheon Camp Road, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Kelsa Church of Christ, Kelsa, VA, Monday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
