DANNY ROBERT BLANKENSHIP, 37 years of age of the Little Prater section of Grundy, Virginia, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 in an ATV accident on the Vandyke -  Jim Rowe Hollow Road near the Little Prater section of Grundy, Virginia.  Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Wheeler Blankenship of Grundy, Virginia and the late Evelyn Quinley Blankenship.  He was a disabled Coal Miner having worked as a Surface High Wall Miner and was of the Pentecostal Faith. 

Mr. Blankenship is survived by his father, Wheeler Blankenship of Grundy, VA, One Daughter – Amber Nicole Blankenship, Grundy, VA, One Sister – Barbara and her husband David Justice, Grundy, VA, Three Brothers – Wheeler Fitzgerald and his wife Sherri Denise Blankenship, Grundy, VA, Sherman Lee Grose, Grundy, VA, Irvin Thomas Grose, Grundy, VA, Two Nephews – Everon Blankenship and Jarret Blankenship, One Niece – Missy Stacy, One Great Niece – Cheyenne Stacy, His Girlfriend – Tammy Sue Wolford, Stopover, KY

Funeral services for DANNY ROBERT BLANKENSHIP will be conducted Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Matney officiating with burial to follow in the Ratliff Cemetery – Airport Road near Lovers Gap, Vansant, Va.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. Sunday with services Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
