
DAVID EDWARD FOSTER,
37 years of age
the Looney’s Creek section of Grundy, VA, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010
at his home. Born in Tazewell County, VA, he was the son of Henry L. “Sonny and
Elizabeth Gay Charles Foster, Grundy, VA. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan
County and was a member of the Little Prater Church of Christ. David graduated
from Grundy High School in 1991 where he played football, basketball and
baseball. He received such awards as Most Valuable Player in Football (1990), AA
Allstate Wide Receiver and one of the top High School Football Players for
Virginia in 1990. Mr. Foster attended Southwest Virginia Community College and
was an avid Tennessee Volunteer Fan. He was a loving husband, father and was a
Heavy Equipment Operator.

survived by his wife, Sandi Hurt Foster, Grundy, VA, His Parents: Henry L.
“Sonny” and Elizabeth Gay Charles Foster, Grundy, VA, 1-Daughter: Kelsee Brooke
Foster, Grundy, VA, 3-Brothers: Joseph Henry and wife Stephanie Foster, St.
Paul, VA, Mark Anthony and wife Kelly Foster (US Navy), Moyock, NC, Michael
Paul and wife Erin Foster, Maxie, VA
Also,
survived by Paternal Grandmother: Gertrude Foster; 5-Neices and Nephews: Ashley,
Paige, Amber, Savannah and Zachary Foster; and 1-Great-Nephew: Austin Sexton.
He was
preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents: Edd and Linda Stacy and Paternal
Grandfather: James Henry Foster.
Funeral
Services for DAVID EDWARD FOSTER will be conducted Thursday, December 2,
2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Little Prater Church of Christ with Ministers: Clyde
George, Shae Shrader and Evg. Mike Rife officiating with entombment to follow in
the Mountain Rest Mausoleum at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
Friends may
call at the Little Prater Church of Christ Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with
services at 7:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will be Mark Foster, Shannon Colley, Shane Bowman, Lee Anderson, Lee
Steele, Tim McGlothlin, Josh Campbell, James Edward Foster, Chance Farris,
Jeremy Farris, Joseph Foster and Michael Foster.
