DAVID WILLIAM SLONE, 54 years of age of Breaks, Virginia, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009 at his home following a brief illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of William R. Slone, Breaks, VA, and the late Brenda Thelma Clevinger Slone. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and attended the Little Josie Old Regular Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and was a Dozer Operator.

Slone, Breaks, VA, 2-Daughters: Shontona Hylton and fiancé Scott Scammell, Breaks, VA, Chazzlyn Slone, Millard, KY, 2-Step-Daughters: Regina Long and fiancé Jonathan Little, Grundy, VA, Krista and husband Andrew Biros, Mazon, IL, 2-Step-Sons: Clinton and wife Becky Long, Abingdon, VA, Justin and wife Jessica Long, Castlewood, VA, Step-Mother: Emojean Slone, Elkhorn City, KY, 6-Sisters: Mary and husband Mike Moore, Statesville, NC, Judy and husband Larry Mullins, Honaker, VA, Katy and husband Kent Deel, Haysi, VA, Margaret and husband Erdil Jack Looney, Breaks, VA, Gracie and husband Tim Yates, Stony Point, NC, Marcella and husband Benny Yates, Mavisdale, VA, 3-Brothers: Terry Slone, Breaks, VA, Bobby and wife Brenda Slone, Crandall, GA, Joe Slone, Breaks, VA

Also, survived by 3-Grandchildren: Abby Hylton, Daymon Scammell and Cameron Little; 3-Step-Grandchildren: Breann Long, Troy Long and Luke Barr; and several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services for DAVID WILLIAM SLONE will be conducted Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Little Josie Old Regular Baptist Church, Breaks, VA, with Ministers: Toy Looney, A.B. Thacker, James Wright, Jerry Overstreet, Larry Puckett and Jackie Yates officiating with burial to follow in the Rice & Slone Cemetery, Breaks, VA.

Friends may call at the Little Josie Old Regular Baptist Church, Breaks, VA, Tuesday afternoon at 6:00 P.M. with services Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
