DOUGLAS WAYNE DOTSON, 57 years of age of the Convict Hollow section of Maxie, VA, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, in Millard, KY, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Rosa Scarberry Dotson, Hurley, VA, and the late Everette Dotson. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Bethany Bible Church. Douglas was a 1972 Graduate of Hurley High School. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and was a Coal Truck Driver.

He departs this earth with his loving wife, Diane Lane Dotson, January 9, 2012.

He is survived by 2-Daughters: Beth Dotson and fiancé Matt Cox, Maxie, VA, Kristie Dotson and fiancé Carlos Jackson, Maxie, VA, 4-Sisters: Judy and husband Otis Church, Lansing, MI, Shirley Fisher , Lansing, MI, Ruby Ann Dotson, Defiance, OH, Tammy and husband David Dawson, Maxie, VA, 4-Brothers: Teddy and wife Geneva Dotson, East Bend, NC, Eddie Paul and wife Ruth Dotson, East Bend, NC, Benny and wife Nancy Dotson, Hurley, VA, Terry Dotson, Hurley, VA

Also, survived by 3-Grandchildren: Brittney Ramey, Kathryn Cook and Haley Jackson; and several Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Ruth Dotson; 1-Brother: Robert Dotson; Grandparents: Willie and Rose Dotson and Dewey and Delphia Scarberry.

Funeral Services for DOUGLAS WAYNE DOTSON will be conducted Friday, January 13, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Mike Rife, Rev. Shae Shrader and Minister Josh Bowman officiating with burial to follow in the Clevinger Cemetery on Belcher’s Fork, Maxie, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
