EARL THOMAS MULLINS, 62 years of age of Paynesville, WV, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 at his home following an extended illness. Born in McDowell County, WV, he was the son of the late Dave Columbus and Mae McGuire Mullins. He was a lifelong resident of McDowell County and was of the Church of Christ faith. Mr. Mullins served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, where he received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, 2 Oversees Bars, National Defense Service Medal, Expert Badge with Pistol Bar and Good Conduct Medal. . He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a Disabled Coal Miner having worked for Island Creek Coal Company.

Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife: Harriett Anita Hurd Mullins, Paynesville, WV, 1-Daughter: Ann and husband James Price, Mooresville, NC, 2-Sons: Thomas and wife Brenda Mullins, Paynesville, WV, Jim Wade and wife Karen Mullins, Paynesville, WV, 1-Step-Daughter: Anna Kirlin, Milford, DE, 5-Sisters: Melda Addair, Abingdon, VA, Rebecca Sue Payne, Paynesville, WV, Patricia Toler, Hanover, WV, Jacqueline Wess, Hurley, VA, Valorie Justice, Hillsville, VA, 4-Brothers: Warner McArthur Mullins, Paynesville, WV, James Matthew Mullins, Logan, WV, Elza L. Mullins, Grundy, VA, John E. Mullins, Denton, NC

Also, survived by 13-Grandchildren, 1-Step-Grandchild and 6-Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 1-Son: William Billy Mullins; 1-Sister: Agnes Tilton; 2-Brothers: Arnold and Harold Mullins; 3-Half Sisters, 4-Step-Brothers and 2-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for EARL THOMAS MULLINS will be conducted Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Crossview Church of Christ, Paynesville, WV, with Evg. Hobert Kennedy officiating with burial to follow in the John R. Stacy Cemetery on State Line #1, Paynesville, WV.

Friends may call at the Crossview Church of Christ, Paynesville, WV, Monday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
