EDNA MAE CHILDRESS BREEDING, 79 years of age of Abingdon, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jim Harve and Evangeline Stiltner Childress. She was a resident of Buchanan County for many years, prior to moving to Abingdon, VA, and was a member of the West End Freewill Baptist Church, Abingdon, VA. She was a devoted wife, loving daughter and sister and was a Retired Nurse.

Mrs. Breeding was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Kermit Breeding.

She is survived by her Foster Parent: June Clevinger of Maxie, VA and the late Lonnie Clevinger, 3-Sisters: Sue and husband Everett Delaney, Maxie, VA, Vickie Corby, Sunrise, FL, Pat and husband David Ratliff, Maxie, VA, 1-Brother: David “Sonny” and wife Rita Clevinger, Maxie, VA, 1-Half-Sister: Verna Hunt, Mouthcard, KY

Also, survived by Special Friends and Caretakers: Debbie Copeland.and Jimmy.

Funeral Services for EDNA MAE CHILDRESS BREEDING will be conducted Sunday, June 8, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Forest Hills Memory Gardens Chapel with Minister: Ronnie Sliger officiating with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon, VA.
