ESTA MAE WOLFORD HURLEY, 68 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Sophia Robinette Wolford. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the Stopover Freewill Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Hurley was preceded in death by her husband: Alford “Jake” Hurley, March 24, 1983.

She is survived by 3-Daughters: Polly and husband Kenny May, Hurley, VA, Nina Briggs,    Phelps, KY, Maggie and husband Terry Thorpe, Phelps, KY, 4-Sons: Pat and wife Mary Wolford, Columbus, OH, Jessie Hurley, Hurley, VA, Emory and wife Valeria Hurley, Hurley, VA, Donnie Hurley, Stopover, KY, 3-Sisters: Emma Caudill, Stopover, KY, Zettia Faye Robinette, Columbus, OH, Nora Morrow, Bristol, TN, 3-Brothers: Stewart and wife Jo Wolford, Stopover, KY, Isaac and wife Eunice Wolford, Stopover, KY, Tracy and wife Pam Wolford, Edgarton, WV

Also, survived by 10-Grandchildren, 7-Great-Grandchildren, 2-Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 3-Daughters: Kathy, Tammy and Rosie Hurley, 1-Son: Roy Hurley, 1-Sister and 2-Brothers.

Funeral Services for ESTA MAE WOLFORD HURLEY will be conducted Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stopover Freewill Baptist Church, Stopover, KY, with Rev. Larry Rife, Rev. James Chapman, Rev. Tommy Conn and Rev. Ervin Hurley officiating with burial to follow in the Blankenship Cemetery on Widow’s Branch Road, Stopover, KY.

Friends may call at the Stopover Freewill Baptist Church, Stopover, KY, Sunday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. with services Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
