ETHLENE FARMER KESLING, 83 years of age of Claypool Hill, VA, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Maple Grove Rehabilitation Center, Lebanon, VA from an extended illness. Born in Van Lear, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nancy Akers Farmer.  She had been a life-long resident of Buchanan County before moving to Claypool Hill to assist with the care of her loving niece, Victoria Laurianne Chaney.  Mrs. Kesling worked as a cafeteria worker for the Buchanan County School System and retired after 20 years of faithful service.

Mrs. Kesling was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Kesling.

She is survived by 1-Sister: Betty Lou Farmer Bryant, Hampton, VA, 3-Nephews: Steve Farmer, Manassas, VA, Samuel Bryant, Hampton, VA, William Bryant, Chicago, IL

Also survived by many loving nieces and cousins.

Mrs. Kesling was preceded in death by 1-Son Michael Lee Kesling; 2-Sisters: Nellie Frances Farmer, Anna Laura Chaney; 1-Brother: Ernest Farmer; 3-Nephews: Larry Farmer, Pete Chaney, and Robert Farmer.

Funeral Services for ETHLENE FARMER KESLING will be conducted Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul McNalley officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday morning for visitation at 10:00 A.M. with funeral services at 11:00 A.M.

The family would like to request that expressions of sympathy be made in a form of contribution to Midway United Methodist Church, 2035 Wardell Road, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609.

Active Pallbearers will be Sammy Bryant, Zac Phillips, Jerry Davis, and Nephews.
