EUNA P. DEEL BOYD, 94 years of age of the Little Prater Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late James and Pricey Jane Mullins Deel. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Little Prater Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband: Glen Boyd, April 8, 1996.

She is survived by 7-Daughters: Carrol and husband Stewart Nuckols, Oceanside, CA, Betty Stiltner, Belfast, VA, Edgar and husband Roger Childress, Grundy, VA, Bernice and husband Charlie Baker, Anchorage, AK, Vickie and husband Pete Cooley, Ocala, FL, Vanessa and husband Gary Ratliff, Grundy, VA, 8-Sons: Leon Boyd and fiancé Pam Estep, Grundy, VA, Wayne and wife Joyce Boyd, Grundy, VA, Richard and wife Betty Boyd, Oakwood, VA, Elmer and wife Doreen Boyd, Fairbanks, AK, Roger and wife Cheri Boyd, Satsuma, FL, Darrell and wife Judy Boyd, Grundy, VA, Phillip and wife Teresa Boyd, Salem, VA, Jeffery Boyd, Elliston, VA,

She was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Iva Lee Terry and 1-Son: Estis Harold Boyd. 5-Sisters:Helen Keene, Nancy, Thelma, Anna Laura and Georgia Deel.  4-Brothers: Christopher, Richard, General and James Deel.

Funeral Services for EUNA P. DEEL BOYD will be conducted Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Mike Rife officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday afternoon with visitation at 5:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Men of the Little Prater Church of Christ.
