FERN ENGLAND DOTSON, 79 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ples and Ellen Estep England. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

Mrs. Dotson was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Dotson, April 12, 1997.

She is survived by 4-Daughters: Della Louise and husband Roger Stulter, Columbus, OH, Wilma Lee and husband Douglas Hardin, Stopover, KY, Pauline and husband Ricky Johnson, Hindman, KY, Karen Ellen and husband George Vanover Jr., Hurley, VA, 2-Sons: Douglas and wife Carol Dotson, Hurley, VA, Monroe and wife Donna Dotson, Hurley, VA, 1-Sister: Polly and husband Jack McCurdy, Canden, TN, 2-Brothers: Jimmy England, Columbus, OH, Ples and wife Sharon England Jr., Paw Paw, KY

Also, survived by 19-Grandchildren and several Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1-Infant Son; 3-Sisters: Bessie Justus, Mary Barregar and Margie May; and 4-Brothers: Edwin Lewis England, Arland (Dutch) England, Lando England and Dallas England.

Funeral Services for FERN ENGLAND DOTSON will be conducted Friday, July 16, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church, Paw Paw, KY, with Ministers: William Prater and Michael Casey officiating with burial to follow in the Dotson Cemetery on Colley Fork, near Paw Paw, KY.

Friends may call at the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 6:00 P.M. with services Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. D. Patel and Staff, Dr. H. Patel and Staff of the Buchanan General Hospital.
