FERN S. JUSTUS, 77 years of age of the Punchin Camp section of Hurley, Virginia, passed away at the home of her son, Herbert H. Justus, Friday, August 20, 2010 near Lebanon, Virginia.  Born in Pike County, Ky, she was the daughter of the late Dewey McKinley and Delpha Dotson Scarberry.  She was a member of the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church and was a homemaker. 

Mrs. Justus is survived by her husband, Leonard Justus of Hurley, Virginia, Two Sons: Herbert H. and his wife Pamela Sue Justus, Lebanon, VA, Richard (Ricky) Justus, Hurley, VA, One Sister: Rosie Dotson, Hurley, VA, Three brothers: Vernon and his wife Judy Scarberry, Paw Paw, KY, Roy and his wife Sandra Scarberry, Hurley, VA, Paul Scarberry, Big Rock, VA, Two grandsons: Herbert Michael and his wife Ashley Justus, Abingdon, VA, Richard Aaron and his wife Kandi Justus, Lebanon, VA

She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers – Edward, Herbert and Roger Scarberry and two sisters – Ruby Estep and Gladys Sargent.

Funeral services for FERN S. JUSTUS will be conducted Monday, August 23, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church with Rv. William Prater and L. C. Hunt officiating with burial to follow in the Dotson Cemetery on the Right Fork of Paw Paw, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Benny Dotson, Doug Dotson, Terry Dotson, Patrick Charles, Chris Charles, Bobby Justus, Benjamin E. Keen, Herbert Michael Justus and Richard Aaron Justus.
