FRANKIE LENN COOPER, 63 years of age of Newport News, VA formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 following a short illness. Born in Buchanan County, VA, he was the son of the late John and Violet Fay Shrader Cooper. He was retired from Newport News Ship Building where he was a Ship Fitter, and he was a former member of the Clark Memorial Presbyterian Church.  

Mr. Cooper is survived by:1-Sister: Linda (Judy) and husband Bobby Lane, Hurley, VA; 1-Brother:            John Randolph Cooper, Davenport, VA; 1-Niece:Becky and Husband Richard Smith, Hurley, VA; 1-Nephew:Steven and wife Denise Lane, Wolford, VA; 1-Great Niece: Morgan Lane, 1-Great Nephew: Logan Lane, Special Friends: Fred Plaster and Curtis Gillespie.

Funeral Services for FRANKIE LENN COOPER will be conducted Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Stacy officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening, August 9, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
