GARY WAYNE EPLING, 52 years of age of the Buckeye Section of Big Rock, VA, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 at his home following a brief illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Elster and Mavis Jerlene Ramey Epling. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a 1975 graduate of Feds Creek High School. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and was a Disabled Coal Miner.   He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking.

Mr. Epling is survived by his wife: Sandra Waters Epling, Big Rock, VA, 2-Sons: John and wife Marrissa Epling, Ewa Beach, HA, Shaun Epling, Big Rock, VA, 1-Granddaughter: Melody Rose Epling, Ewa Beach, HA, 1-Sister: Mary and husband Joe Slone, Mouthcard, KY, 6-Brothers: Elster Jr. and wife Debbie Epling, Mouthcard, KY, James Epling, Mouthcard, KY, Kenneth Epling, Mouthcard, KY, Roger Epling, Mouthcard, KY, Larry and wife Mable Epling, Hellier, KY, Warren and wife Pat Epling, Big Rock, VA

Also, survived by 3-Nieces and 4-Nephews.

Memorial Services for GARY WAYNE EPLING will be conducted Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Benny Shortridge and Shane McClanahan.
