GLADESIE PROFFITT WHITED, 57 years of age of Raven, VA, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Tazewell County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Della Keen Proffitt. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life, a wonderful homemaker and was of the Christian Faith. 

Mrs. Whited is survived by her former husband: Edward Whited, Raven, VA, 1-Daughter: Lynn Whited, Raven, VA, 2-Sons: Eddie Whited, Prestonsburg, KY, Sherman Whited, Raven, VA, 1-Brother: Troy and wife Fern Proffitt, Prestonsburg, KY

Also, survived by 5-Grandchildren: Angel Whited, Austin Whited, Whitney Whited, Alex Whited and Cory Whited.

She was preceded in death by 1-Son: Edward Whited, Jr. and 1-Brother: Roy Lee Proffitt.

Funeral Services for GLADESIE PROFFITT WHITED will be conducted Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ancil Childress officiating with burial to follow in the Keen Cemetery, top of Keen Mountain, Keen Mountain, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
