GLADYS ANNETTE EPLING PALMER,
74 years of age of Grundy, Virginia, passed away Saturday, April
10, 2010 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born
in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Gertrude Thornbury
Epling. She was a member of the New Hope Christian Church and a Medical
Secretary.
Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her husband, Major Weymouth
Palmer on February 19, 1982.
She is survived by 1-Sister: Joan Hutchinson, Granville, OH,
1-Brother Ronald and his wife Mary Lou Epling, Lebanon, VA, 1-Niece: Sherry and
her husband Jim Newman, Granville, OH, 2-Nephews: Anthony Epling, Los Angeles,
CA and Jeremy and his wife Kerri Epling, Elizabethton, TN.
She is also survived by two special relatives, Sharayah and
Nathaniel Cochran of Grundy, VA
She was preceded in death by one brother – Jimmy Epling on
October 7, 1952 and one brother-in-law Donald Hutchinson.
Funeral services for GLADYS EPLING PALMER will be
conducted Monday, April 12, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel
with Evg. William L Neeley officiating with Graveside Services Tuesday Morning
at 11:00 A.M. at the Mountain Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, VA.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home after 5:00 P.M.
Monday to await the funeral hour at 7:00 P.M.
