GLADYS FAYE LOONEY PRICE, 85 years of age of Vansant, VA, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Keen Looney. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Vansant Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to garden, enjoyed canning and raising flowers.

Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband: Walter H. Price, February 18, 1988.

She is survived by 3-Daughters: Doris and husband Tobe Rife, Vansant, VA, Janet “Jan” and husband Lonnie Brown, Vansant, VA, Cynthia “Cindy” B. and husband Roy Rife, Vansant, VA, 1-Half Sister: Frankie and husband Joe Street, Vansant, VA, 2-Half Brothers: Basil and Dan Looney

Also, survived by several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2-Sons: Don Price and Robert Price; 3-Sisters and 5-Brothers.

Funeral Services for GLADYS FAYE LOONEY PRICE will be conducted Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Dennis Wimmer and Evg. Paul Potter officiating with burial to follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Mike Rife, Dave Rife, Teddy Street, Tim Brown, Jim Horn and Dennis Blankenship.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tobe Rife, Lonnie Brown, Roy Rife, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Drs. Eric & Margaret Goss, Staff of Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Nurses of Buchanan General Hospital and Elders & Deacons of Vansant Church of Christ.
