
HAVEN
HANSEL STILTNER,
70 years
of age of the Home Creek section of Grundy, Virginia, passed away Friday, May
16, 2008 at the Select Speciality Hospital of Wellmont Bristol Regional in
Bristol, Virginia. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Corbit
and Alice Elswick Stiltner. He was a member of the Big Rock Freewill Baptist
Church, a retired Coal Miner having worked for the Kentucky Carbon Coal Corp, a
member of the United Mine Workers of America, an avid outdoorsman who loved
hunting, 4-wheeling and was a master dirt digger.
Mr. Stiltner is survived by his wife of 50 years,
Christine H. Stiltner of Grundy, VA
Two daughters: Vickey Lloyd and her husband
Ronnie of Jacksonville, FL, Karen Baldwin of Grundy, VA, One Sister: Audrey Ann
Smith of Abingdon, VA, Four Brothers: Willard and his wife Katherin Stiltner of
Worthington, Pa, James and his wife Anna Stiltner of Colorado, Springs, CO,
Charles Harold and his wife Ruby Stiltner of Breaks, VA, Bill McClanahan of
Kansas, City, KS.
He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren: Tanner
and Heather McCoy, Caitlin Lee, Samantha and Ben Childress.
He is also survived by one great-grandson Haven
Anthony McCoy.
Mr. Stiltner was preceded in death by three
sisters: Dorothy Whited, Magdeline Allen and Georgia Wallace and also by three
brothers: Buster McClanahan, Dorse Stiltner and Ralph Stiltner
Funeral services for HAVEN HANSEL STILTNER
will be conducted Monday May 19, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home
Chapel with Ministers Jimmy Kerr, E. C. Honaker and Rick Ellis officiating with
burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, VA.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home
Chapel after 6:00 P.M. Sunday and there will be services Sunday evening at 7:00
P. M.
Active Pallbearers will be nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers: All of his many friends,
loved equally.
