IDA VICTORIA BOYD FLETCHER, 88 years of age of Council, VA, formerly of Hurley, VA, departed this life, Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia. Born on May 28, 1920, at Davenport, VA, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Hester Boyd. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County, having lived in Hurley for over 60-years. She moved to Council, VA, one year ago due to declining health. She was of the Methodist Faith. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her husband, Burk Fletcher, 2-Sons: Lowil and Eddie Fletcher, 4-Sisters: Josie Owens, Nancy Jackson, Mary Vance and Martha Boyd, and 4-Brothers: Marion, Henry, Stuart and Thurman Boyd.

She is survived by 3-Daughters: Christene and husband LeRoy Mack, Bloomington, IN, Betty Sue Fletcher, Council, VA, Bethel and husband Earl Shook, Port St. Lucie, FL, 3-Sons: Jearl Fletcher, Dalton, GA, James and wife Kay Fletcher, Council, VA, Gary and wife Donna Fletcher, Mavisdale, VA

Also, survived by 7-Grandchildren: Douglas and wife Katie Shook, Jason Shook, William and wife Rachael Strong, Michael Fletcher, Angela and husband Kevin Latiolais, Tanya Mack and Jarrod Mack, 1-Great-Grandson: Hunter Latiolais.

Funeral Services for IDA VICTORIA BOYD FLETCHER will be conducted Sunday, November 30, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester Boyd and Evg. Bob Smith officiating with burial to follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery, Lebanon, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday afternoon at 6:00 P.M.
