INEZ VIVIAN DOTSON BURKS, 83 years of age of the Slate Creek Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA. Born in Pike County, KY, December 13, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Elza and Naomi Justus Dotson. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of Blackey Baptist Church for over 45-years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a bookkeeper for Ray’s Auto Sales.

Mrs. Burks was preceded in death by her husband: Ray Burks, May 25, 2001.

She is survived by 1-Daughter: Janice and husband Lee Wires, Tarpon Springs, FL, 2-Sons: Ronnie and wife Carol Burks, Grundy, VA, Roger Smith, Wolford, VA, 2-Step-Sons: Benny Joe and wife Darlene Burks, Grundy, VA, Danny and wife Teresa Burks, Grundy, VA, 2-Sisters: Virginia Stiltner, Mt. Carbon, WV, Beatrice Adkins, Pounding Mill, VA

Also, survived by 5-Grandchildren, 6-Great-Grandchildren, 4-Step-Grandchildren and 5-Step-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Deborah Lynn Burks, 1-Son: Bobby Gene Smith and 1-Brother: Herbert Dotson.

Funeral Services for INEZ VIVIAN DOTSON BURKS will be conducted Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Moor officiating with entombment to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Claypool Hill, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
