IVOL DEEL LOCKHART, 73 years of age of Bristol, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Ethel Blankenship Deel. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and attended the Old Regular Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and Clerk at Fairway 5&10 and Ben Franklin 5&10.

Mrs. Lockhart was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Lockhart, 1984.

She is survived by 1-Son: Randall Keith Lockhart, Bristol, VA, 1-Sister: Ann and husband Ernest Hibbitts, Warrenton, VA, 3-Brothers: Raymond and wife Jean Deel, Maxie, VA, Johnny and wife Wilma Deel, Maxie, VA, Frankie Deel, Maxie, VA

Also, survived by several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2-Sisters: Marie M. Church and Verlene Deel.

Funeral Services for IVOL DEEL LOCKHART will be conducted Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: Jimmie Blankenship, Frank Newsome and Buster Mullins officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be David Deel, Jonathan Deel, Daniel Deel, Sabian Deel, Kyle Hibbitts, C.J. Mattes, Stephen Mattes and Joseph Newman.

Honorary Pallbearers will be John Belcher, Homer Newsome and Patty Endicott Gentry.
