JAMES EDWARD STILTNER, 66 years of age of Algonac, MI, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at his home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Jackson and Kentucky Stiltner. He was a resident of Buchanan County, prior to moving to Michigan, and was of the Christian Faith. Mr. Stiltner was a 1962 Graduate of Grundy Senior High School and served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1968. He was a devoted husband, loving father and was a self employed Plumber.

Mr. Stiltner is survived by his wife of 44-years: Sharon Monnig Stiltner, Algonac, MI, 2-Daughters: Collen and husband Kevin Miller, Waterville, OH, Anna and husband Jeff Scott, Michigan, 2-Sons: B.J. and wife Laura Stiltner, Sacramento, CA, Gregory and wife Melanie Stiltner, Michigan, 8-Sisters: Mable Brown, Bristol, TN, Christene Chick, Green Cove Springs, FL, Virginia and husband William McClanahan, Vansant, VA, Martha and husband Jim Boyd, Vansant, VA, Shirley Brown, Bristol, TN, Mary and husband Randy Matney, Oakwood, VA, Lois and husband Larry Sparks, Bristol, TN, Susie and husband C.B. Buchanan, Kingsport, TN, 7-Brothers: Ervin and wife Ann Stiltner, Ridgeway, VA, Kermit and wife Goldie Stiltner, Pennington Gap, VA, Johnny and wife Debbie Stiltner, Meadowview, VA, Clyde and wife Dianne Stiltner, Vansant, VA, Ronnie and wife Sherry Stiltner, Abingdon, VA, Daniel Stiltner, Johnson City, TN, Dennis and wife Lou Stiltner, Elizabethton, TN

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 1-Brother: Ray Stiltner.

Memorial Services for JAMES EDWARD STILTNER will be conducted Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, VA, with Daniel Stiltner officiating.
