JAMES LEON ESTEP, 55 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Phyllis Mclemore, Hulbert, MI, and the late James Cecil Estep. He was a resident of Buchanan County most of his life and was a member of Bethany Bible Church. Mr. Estep lived in Michigan several years where he worked as a carpenter. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, loved to fish and was a great musician.

Mr. Estep is survived by his wife: Patricia Spencer Estep, Hurley, VA, 4-Daughters: Angela Marie Estep, Hurley, VA, Tonya Lynn Estep and fiancé Matthew Chapman, Phelps, KY, Valorie and husband Doug Freeman, Flint, MI, Marie and husband Ronnie Coleman, Paw Paw, KY, 2-Sons: James Emory and wife Connie Wolford, Betsy Layne, KY, Mark Wayne Wolford, Hurley, VA, 1-Sister: Pamela and husband Ray Smith, Newberry, MI, 4-Brothers: Jerry Lee and wife Shirley Estep, Fenton, MI, Roger and wife June Estep, Linden, MI, Jackie and wife Norene Estep, Fenton, MI, Willie Estep, Fenton, MI

Also, survived by 11-Grandchildren and 1-Great-Grandchild.

He was preceded in death by 1-Grandchild: Anthony Ganther and Step-Father: Samuel Skeens

Funeral Services for JAMES LEON ESTEP will be conducted Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bethany Bible Church, Kelsa, VA, with Pastor Paul Rife and Joe Jackson officiating with burial to follow in the Dotson Cemetery at Paw Paw, KY, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Bethany Bible Church, Kelsa, VA, Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Sons, Grandsons and Friends.
