JANET
ALAPHARE “ALLIE” DAUGHERTY SCARBERRY,
73 years of age of Pearisburg, VA, formerly of Paw Paw, KY, passed away
Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center,
Bristol, TN, following an extended illness. Born August 5, 1938, at Paw Paw,
KY, she was the daughter of the late Hiram Mahlon and Margaret Faith
(Coleman) Daugherty. She was a member of the Millfork Freewill Baptist
Church, Paw Paw, KY, and was a wonderful homemaker.
Mrs. Scarberry
was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Scarberry and her second
husband, Verlin Scarberry.
She is survived
by 4-Daughters: Pamela Christine Hurley, Bristol, TN, Margaret Faith Martin,
Pearisburg, VA, Kathleen Louiese and husband Calvin Dotson, Paw Paw, KY,
Laura Alaphare and husbad Brian Dotson, Hurley, VA, 1-Son: Roland Eugene
Scarberry, Bristol, VA, 3-Sisters: Lena Hatfield, Cocoa, FL, Ann and husband
Roy Phillips, Springfield, TX, Betty Hurley, Newberry, FL
Also, survived by
9-Grandchildren: 2 of which she raised, Scott Douglas Scarberry, Jessica
Celeste Rose, Bobby Lee Hurley, Charles Joseph Hurley, Stephanie Sue Hurley,
Nathan Chad Martin, Kristen Amber Scarberry and husband Shawn Campbell,
Zachary Devon and wife Brittany Dotson and Trevor Logan Dotson;
11-Great-Grandchildren: Cody Deel, Cheyanne Fox, Courtney Rose, Shaelee
Robinson, Emma Rose, Josh Burkes, Landon Hurley, Annabella Hurley, Caden,
Shylar and Harley Cole.
She was preceded
in death by Maternal Grandparents: Lorenzo Dow “Dodge” and Alaphare
(Puckett) Coleman; Paternal Grandparents: Lincoln Curtis and Emily Christine
Daugherty; 1-Daughter: Sheilah Sue Rose, October 5, 1985, 3-Sisters: Merle
Cohen, Ina White and Pearl June Marburger; 4-Brothers: Everette, Jimmy,
Darrell and Gene Daugherty.
Funeral Services for

SCARBERRY will be conducted Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at
the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Mike Casey, William
Prater and Ronnie Hurley officiating with burial to follow in the St. Clair
Cemetery, Paw Paw, KY.
Friends may call
at the Union Light Freewill Baptist Church, Sunday afternoon at 4:00 P.M.
with services Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
