JESSIE STACEY 78 years of age of Grundy, Virginia, passed away Friday, March 25, 2010 at his home following an extended illness.  Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late George L. and Nona Ward Stacy.  He was a retired coal miner from Island Creek Coal Company and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church.

Mr. Stacey is survived by his wife, Fran Stacy of            Grundy, VA;  1-Daughter: Sherrie and husband Rodney Dotson, Grundy, VA;  1-Son: J. C. Stacy, Grundy, VA; 4-Sisters:             Faye and husband Carmel Childers, Akron, OH, Shirley Stiltner, Oakwood, VA, Trulabee Smith, Grundy, VA, Annie and husband Jim Bingham, Raven, VA;  4-Brothers: Gallie Stacy, Wytheville, VA, Delon and wife Annette Stacy, Freemont, OH, Luther and wife Ramona Stacy, Nashville, TN, Charlie and wife Glenna Stacy, Grundy, VA;  and 1-Grandson: Jessie and wife Edie Stacy, Grundy, VA. 

 He was preceded in death by 1-brother:  Ralph Stacy.

 Funeral services for JESSIE STACEY will be conducted Monday, March 29, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Phil Dotson officiating with burial to follow in the Stacy Cemetery on Horse Branch Road, Elkins Branch, Grundy, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Lower Chapel after 6:00 P.M. Sunday evening.

Active pallbearers will be Glen Owens, Hubert Soulyrette, Terry Shortt, Tom Lowry, Brandon Baker, Edison Baker, Barry Coleman, Charlie Merriman, and Mike Goad.
