JESSIE KEDNA BOWMAN, 64 years of age of Bear Branch Road, Vansant, VA, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Jessie and Sarah Jane Charles Bowman. He was a lifelong long resident of Buchanan County. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a Coal Miner.

Mr. Bowman is survived by his wife: Mary Katie Charles Bowman   , Vansant, VA, 1-Daughter: Martha Marie and husband Roger Coleman, Vansant, VA, 2-Sons: William “Bill” Brady and wife Angela Sykes, Vansant, VA, Eddie Don and wife Sandra Bowman, Vansant, VA, 1-Sister:   Viney Bowman, Clinchco, VA, 2-Brothers: Ferdie Robert and wife Barbara Bowman, Honaker, VA, Arlie and wife Geraldine Bowman, Vansant, VA

Also, survived by 10-Grandchildren, 1-Great-Grandchild and several Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by 3-Sisters: Flornie Stiltner, Rosie Stiltner and Goldie York, and 6-Brothers: Earl, Henry, Columbus, George, John, Clyde and Lee Bowman.

Funeral Services for JESSIE KEDNA BOWMAN will be conducted Monday, December 28, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Little David Old Regular Baptist Church with Minister: Jack Wright officiating with burial to follow in the Bowman Family Cemetery on Bear Branch, Vansant, VA.

Friends may call at the Little David Old Regular Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
