JOHN MARK ELSWICK, 42 years of age of Rowe, VA, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Buchanan General Hospital. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Edd F. and Dorothy Deloris Stiltner Elswick. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County, was a member of Harman Freewill Baptist Church and worked in Construction.

Mr. Elswick is survived by his fiancée: Tammy Cantrell, Rowe, VA, 1-Step-Son: Ronald Cantrell, Hurley, VA, 3-Sisters: Sandra and husband Larry McComas, Hurley, VA, Sherry Sesco, Vansant, VA, Marsha Price, Whitewood, VA, 7-Brothers: Teddy Elswick, Vansant, VA, Timothy and wife Tammy Elswick, Oakwood, VA, Eddie and wife Pearl Elswick, Vansant, VA, Brady and wife Linda Elswick          , Oakwood, VA, Bill Elswick, Vansant, VA, Danny Elswick, Vansant, VA, Monty and wife Tammy Elswick, Grundy, VA, 2-Half-Brothers: Chester and wife Rita Keene, Haysi, VA, Grover and wife Linda Keene, Grundy, VA, 1-Grandchild: Brittney Cantrell, Hurley, VA, 1-Special Friend: Ricky Coleman, Rowe, VA

He was preceded in death by 1-Half-Sister: Mary Lane and 1-Half-Brother: Vistil Keene.

Funeral Services for JOHN MARK ELSWICK will be conducted Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Harman Freewill Baptist Church with Ministers: Ronnie Sliger, Eddie Wilson and Josh Bowman officiating with burial to follow in Elswick Cemetery on Devil’s Branch, near Vansant, VA.

Friends may call at the Harman Freewill Baptist Church Thursday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Thursday and Friday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
