JOLENE ADKINS LING, 35 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of Herbert Lee May, Hurley, VA, and the late Linda Adkins Ling Hager. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Kelsa Church of Christ. Ms. Ling was a graduate of Hurley High School where she played baseball. She was a loving sister and daughter and was a waitress.

Ms. Ling is survived by her father: Herbert Lee May, Hurley, VA, 2-Sisters: Amelia May, Hurley, VA, Lora May, Hurley, VA, 3-Brothers: Jeremiah May, Hurley, VA, Kevin May, Hurley, VA, William Ling III, North Carolina, Maternal Grandmother: Thelma Adkins, Hurley, VA, Paternal Grandparents: Herbert and Bertie Lee May, Hurley, VA, 2-Aunts: Patricia Gail and husband Danny Jackson, Hurley, VA, Diane and husband Ronald Artrip, Cleveland, VA, 4-Uncles: Bobby and wife Tammy May, Hurley, VA, Jeff and wife Bonnie May, Hurley, VA, Leslie May, Hurley, VA, Randy Joe May, Hurley, VA

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Adkins Ling Hager, Maternal Grandfather: Estil Adkins, and 2-Uncles: Glen and Ralph Adkins.

Funeral Services for JOLENE ADKINS LING will be conducted Monday, November 16, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kelsa Church of Christ, Kelsa, VA, with Evg. Vernor Blankenship officiating with burial to follow in the Adkins Cemetery on Punchin Camp Creek Road, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Kelsa Church of Christ, Kelsa, VA, Saturday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. with services Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
