JUDY MARIE STACY SMITH, 63 years of age of Damascus, VA, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA, following an extended illness. Born in McDowell County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lawson Dan and Irene Baker Stacy. She was a resident of Buchanan County for many years prior to moving to Damascus, VA, and was a member of the Vansant Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and was a wonderful Homemaker.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Allen ray Smith, December 9, 2002.

She is survived by 3-Sons: Gregory Allen Smith, Mount Holly, NC, Ricky Ray and wife Michelle Smith, Grundy, VA, Brian Keith and wife Crystal Smith, Damascus, VA, 2-Brothers: Dan and wife Gracie Stacy, Jolo, WV, David and wife Debbie Stacy, Elkton, MD, Special Friend: Tammy Lester, Grundy, VA

Also, survived by 8-Grandchildren: Ashleigh Smith, Josh Smith, Sarah Taylor, James Smith, Megan Smith, Jordan Parks, Gideon Parks and Ethan Parks; and several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2-Sisters: Mary Messer and Thelma Kennedy; 4-Brothers: General Janky Stacy, Henry Stacy, Leonard Stacy and Andrew Stacy. 

Graveside Services for JUDY MARIE STACY SMITH will be conducted Monday, October 24, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA, with Evg. Dennis Wimmer, Pastor Darrell Martin and Charlie Kennedy officiating with burial to follow.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Charles Andrew Kennedy, Kenneth Kennedy, Steven Kennedy, Henry Allen Stacy, Jerry Lee Stacy, Ronnie Stacy, Davey Stacy, Steven Stacy and Chris Messer.
