LARRY EVANS MEADOWS, 57 years of age of Rowe, VA, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA, following a brief illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Wallace Evans and Gladys Sanders Meadows. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a 1972 Graduate of Garden High School. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and was a truck driver for Trimble Oil Company. Larry enjoyed Hot Rods, hunting, fishing and NASCAR.

Mr. Meadows is survived by his wife: Anita Carol Grizzle Meadows, Rowe, VA, 1-Daughter: Sheena Marie Meadows, Rowe, VA, 1-Granddaughter: Tea Nicole Davidson, Rowe, VA, 4-Sisters:  Loretta and husband James Cockrell, Winchester, VA, Annabelle and husband Daniel Wright, Slainesville, WV, Cathy Lynn Payne, North Tazewell, VA, Jill and husband Willie Wallace, Rowe, VA, 2-Brothers: Gregory George and wife Keppei Meadows, Pilgrims Knob, VA, Ricky Dean and wife Sandy Meadows, Rowe, VA

He was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Natasha Nicole Meadows, 1-Brother: Michael Lee Meadows, Maternal Grandparents: George and Orabelle Sanders and Paternal Grandparents: George and Alta May Meadows.

Funeral Services for LARRY EVANS MEADOWS will be conducted Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ancil Childress and Evg. Bob Smith officiating with burial to follow in the McGlothlin Cemetery, Skeggs, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 6:00 P.M. with services Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Greg Meadows, Ricky Meadows, Danny Wright, Jimmy Cockrell, Steve Lockhart, Bud Matney, Danny Blankenship, Jim Trimble, Jimmy Grizzle and Randy Johnson.
