LEXIA
HAY STILTNER,
72 years of age of the Poplar Creek section of
Grundy, Virginia, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Tazewell
Community Hospital in Tazewell, VA following an extended illness.
Born in Dickenson County, Virginia she was
the daughter of the late Kent and Tennessee Dales Hay.
She was a member of the Bethlehem Old
Regular Baptist Church #1 for more than 30 years and was a homemaker.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Christopher Harold Stiltner on September 25, 1973.
She is survived by two daughters: Rebecca and her
husband Bill Stacy, Pounding Mill, VA, Sandra Lee and husband Wayne Viers,
Cedar Bluff, VA, Four sons: Larry Dean and his wife Mellie Stiltner,
Pounding Mill, VA, Christopher Nicholas and his wife Deidra Stiltner, Cedar
Bluff, VA, Ronald Harold Stiltner, Johnson City, TN, Michael Dwayne and his
wife Trinia Stiltner, Pounding Mill, VA, One Sister: Elsie Childress,
Abingdon, VA
She is also
survived by10 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded
in death by her parents – Kent and Tennessee Dales Hay, her husband -
Christopher Harold Stiltner – Four sisters – Margaret Epling Gladys Rasnick,
Orpha Pennington and Lottie Cabbell and Five brothers – Bud Hay, Frank Hay,
Harrison Deel, Benton Deel and Finis Deel.
Funeral services for
LEXIE HAY STILTNER will be
conducted Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at the Bethlehem Old Regular
Baptist Church #1 with Elders Jim Blankenship, Frank Newsome, James
McClanahan, William McClanahan and David O’Quinn officiating with burial to
follow in the Stiltner Cemetery near the Bethlehem Old Regular Baptist
Church #1.
Friends may call
at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening after 6:00 P.M.
Mrs. Stiltner
will be moved to the church one hour prior to services.
Active
Pallbearers will be David Viers, Khristopher Stiltner, Nicholas Stiltner,
Austin Day, Shannon Stacy, Dave Childress.
