LINNIE VIOLA RATLIFF QUINLEY, 90 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late William and Wincy Boyd Ratliff. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Deliverance Tabernacle for 37-years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening.

Mrs. Quinley was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Lewis Quinley, October 30, 1973.

She is survived by 1-Daughter: Jeraldine and husband Acie Blankenship, Grundy, VA, 1-Son: Ernest Lee and wife Fern Quinley, Grundy, VA, 1-Sister: Eunice Coleman, Grundy, VA, 1-Brother: Tollie “Bud” Ratliff, Grundy, VA, 1-Special Granddaughter: Connie Jean Powers, Grundy, VA

Also, survived by 23-Grandchildren, several Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Evelyn Blankenship; 4-Sons: Bailey Dairl Quinley, Ralph Quinley, Arvil Jr. Quinley and Sherman Quinley; 6-Sister: Margie Nickels, Ida Matney, Mae McCowan, Gay Lester, Oma Bowman and Rosie Ratliff; 1-Brother: Tommy Ratliff; 2-Grandsons and 1-Great-Grandson.

Funeral Services for LINNIE VIOLA RATLIFF QUINLEY will be conducted Wednesday, November 2, 2011at 1:00 P.M. at the Deliverance Tabernacle with Rev. Jerry Matney officiating with burial to follow in the Blankenship Cemetery on Cripple Creek, Little Prater near Grundy, VA.

Friends may call at the Deliverance Tabernacle Monday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with services Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Jackie Quinley, Tony Quinley, Stevie Blankenship, Louie Blankenship, Bobby Quinley, Michael Quinley, Ernest Quinley Jr., Sherman Gross and Irvin Gross.
